Should divorce visitation schedules depend on the child’s age?

Posted on February 18th, 2010 No Comments

When spouses with children get divorced, one of the most contentious issues is child custody. In most cases, one parent is given the primary custody responsibilities, while the other spouse is given visitation privileges.

The amount of visitation often depends on the visiting spouse and the child’s age. If the child is younger, then the visiting parent will often receive more visitations because the court has often ruled that younger children need more influence from both parents.
