A single’s expo called the “Divorce Marketplace” took place this week in Houston for the first time. Exhibits and booths littered the grounds of the expo featuring door prizes and speakers.  There was also a fair share of mixing and mingling going on throughout the marketplace.  Different groups and churches ran the booths, each one hoping to encourage divorcees and singles alike that it’s never too soon to make a fresh start.

One group, dedicated to single parents, aimed to show each attendee that they are not alone.  They wanted to show newly divorced people that this time in their life doesn’t have to serve as a waiting point between the end of an old life and the start of a new one.
