“Swamp People” star arrested for domestic violence

Posted on June 27th, 2012 No Comments

Noces Joseph LaFont Jr., or “Trapper Joe” as he is known on the History Channel series “Swamp People,” was arrested last week at a Walt Disney World hotel on charges of domestic violence against his live-in girlfriend.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies saw LaFont violently shaking and then punching the woman in the chest with a closed fist. She told authorities that LaFont also tried to burn her with a cigarette.

Officers believe both were intoxicated at the time of the altercation. LaFont denies hitting or attempting to burn her with a cigarette. His girlfriend did not require medical attention and decided not to press charges.
