If the child is less than three years of age, what possession and access order will the court enter?
A child less than three years old does not come under the standard possession order. The court will sign an order that is appropriate under the circumstances. This varies from case to case, depending on the facts in each case. Usually if the child is an infant, it begins with a period of three to four hours once week and over time, an increased period takes effect. Overnight visits are not usually done until the child is at least eighteen months to two years old.
