If the standard possession order is unworkable due to the possessory conservator’s work schedule or other special circumstances, what possession and access orders will the court make?
In the event that those factors or the year round school schedule make the standard possession unworkable, the court will render an order that grants periods of possession as similar to those provided by the standard possession order as possible. The court will encourage the parties to arrive at a settlement and may order mediation to assist the parties in reaching a mutually acceptable visitation schedule.
