Under what circumstances is child support terminated?
The Texas Family Code provides for the termination of child support only upon certain events occurring such as the marriage of the child, the death of the child, the removal of the child’s disabilities for general purposes, i.e. emancipation, the child enlists in the armed forces or if the child is eighteen years of age or older, and has failed to comply with school enrolment or attendance requirements.
