Can the court order child support payments be paid in a lump sum?
The court may order child support paid in a lump sum, periodic payments, an annuity purchase, the setting aside of property to be administered for the support of the child or any combination of the above. The Court may also order the non-custodial parent to obtain a life insurance policy in an amount sufficient to cover the remaining child support obligation following his death.
