Are oral agreements to increase or reduce child support enforceable?
The Court must approve any change in the amount of child support to be paid. There must be motion to modify filed and an order approved by the court. It is usually difficult to justify to the court why a decrease in child support is in the best interest of the child and this is the court’s paramount concern.
