What is the legal effect on the parent child relationship if the non-custodial parent’s rights are terminated?
Legally, the child is a stranger to the non-custodial parent. He can still inherit form the parent unless the court orders otherwise, the parent has no rights to possession and access to the child unless otherwise ordered, and the child support obligation terminates except as to any unpaid child support pre-dating the order of termination.
