Anything that is in controversy can be mediated in this proceeding. The parties should be encouraged to make use of the mediation to resolve as many issues as possible. If child custody is not in issue, the discussion will probably focus on the division of assets and liabilities. Possession and access (child visitation) will also be addressed at tis time.
