What factors does the court consider in determining if maintenance is appropriate?The law provides that the court must consider all relevant factors in determining the nature, amount, duration and manner of such periodic payments. These factors include the length of marriage which must be at least ten years, the financial resources of the party, the educational and employment skills, marital misconduct and many others.
