Can the temporary restraining order be made permanent?
If the circumstances warrant, the order can be made permanent. This depends on the level of conflict between the parties, whether either party has violated the temporary order and the evidence supporting the need for continued orders are all factors that the court will consider. Unless the divorce is completely amicable and both parties are behaving responsibly, it is prudent to have the temporary orders incorporated into the Final Decree of Divorce and made permanent. This may save the time and expense of having to file for them later.
