A restraining order, either temporary or permanent, can order the respondent to stay a minimum distance from the applicant’s home or business, order that the respondent not go to or near the children’s school or remove them from the school, communicating with the applicant in an obscene, vulgar or threatening manner, cease making harassing telephone calls, not to cause bodily injury to the applicant or child and make whatever orders are necessary for the preservation of the parties’ property and personal safety.
